This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Dough with a Bow ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use doughbow.com and our ordering, subscription, and text message services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It takes effect on October 17, 2026. By using our services, you agree to this policy.
We collect the information you give us and some technical information created when you use our site.
Account and contact details: your name, mobile phone number, email address (if you provide one), and delivery address.
Orders and subscriptions: order history, subscription preferences, delivery notes, and any dietary or allergy information you share with us.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We may receive the card brand, the last four digits, and the billing ZIP code.
Text message records: the date, time, and wording of your text consent, message delivery status, and any STOP or HELP requests.
Donation information: when you make a donation, we collect your name, contact information, and donation amount. This information is used to process your donation and send you updates about our donation program. We do not share donor information with third parties except as required by law.
Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, and log data created when you use our website.
We use your information to run the bakery and serve you. Specifically, we use it to:
We send you promotional or marketing texts only if you separately agree to receive them. These include a notice when our order window opens and a reminder before it closes.
We send text messages only to customers who agree to receive them. This section describes that program.
What we send: order confirmations, delivery notifications, subscription reminders, and account verification codes. If you separately opt in, we also send promotional texts about our order window: a notice when it opens and a reminder before it closes.
How you agree: by checking the unchecked consent box next to the phone number field (a separate box for order and account texts, and another for the optional order-window texts) when you create an account or place an order. Agreeing to texts is separate from accepting our Terms, and you can place orders without agreeing to the order-window texts.
Frequency and cost: message frequency varies, depending on your orders and subscription. If you opt in to order-window texts, expect up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out: reply STOP at any time. You will get one confirmation text and no more messages. Reply START to rejoin.

Account access: if you use your mobile number to log in, replying STOP stops login-code texts too. Contact us and we will help you get into your account another way.
Carriers: wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers, such as our texting provider, that need it to deliver our messages for us and are not allowed to use it for anything else.
Donations to our Food Pantry Loaf program are used exclusively to bake and deliver bread to local food pantries. Dough with a Bow is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are not tax-deductible. We do not provide tax receipts for donations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to operate, and only for that purpose:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of our customers or business, to prevent fraud, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
We keep your account and order information while your account is active. After that, we keep records we are required to hold for tax and legal reasons, typically up to seven years, and then delete them. We keep text consent records for at least four years so we can show that you agreed to receive messages.
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls, and trusted providers. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your rights. You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to get a copy of it. Email Doughwithabow1@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days where possible. We may keep information we are legally required to retain, such as payment and tax records.
Children. Our services are for adults 18 and older and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies. Our website uses only the cookies and similar technology needed to keep you signed in and the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies.
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and we will tell you by email or text if the changes are significant.
